A Promise Renewed for Kalusugan Pangkalahatan

The “A Promise Renewed for Kalusugan Pangkalahatan” is about bringing health and nutrition services closer to the people, particularly women/mothers, children and men under the banner of Kalusugan Pangkalahatan. The scheduled events celebrate the gains of the Philippines towards universal health care and the national commitment to fund health services for all.  There will be major opportunities for all Filipinos to meet health leaders and providers in their own communities and in locations where everyone can learn, interact and access services.

“A Promise Renewed” (APR) is a global initiative to respond with urgency to the demand for accountability on maternal, neonatal, child and family survival through multi-sectoral support to efficient and sustainable health systems. This initiative is led by the Department of Health’s Women, Children and Family Health Cluster in collaboration with international development partners, NGOs and civil society organizations.

APR for Kalusugan Pangkalahatan is a series of multi-stakeholder activities which will be carried out in all provinces and key cities around the country to demonstrate how government and private health services working together could deliver the best health care benefits to women, mothers in particular, young children and other vulnerable Filipinos.
