PLCPD and DISCERN partners gear up for advocacy fund implementation
27-31 August, Cagayan de Oro City—PLCPD led the capacity building on policy and budget advocacy and local representation of partners of the DISCERN Project or “Developing and Strengthening CSO Capacities for Empowered Representation.”
The activity aimed to capacitate partners from the civil society in local policy and budget advocacy processes, local sectoral representation, and to push for the enactment of local policies that address human development issues in communities.
Supported by the European Union, DISCERN is being implemented by We Effect and the PLCPD in 13 areas across the country in partnership with civil society organizations. These areas are: Caloocan City, Navotas City, Malabon City, Quezon City, Malolos City, Meycauayan City, Calatrava Negros Occidental, Basey Samar, Cebu City, San Isidro Davao Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, and San Franciso Agusan del Sur.
